What items are included in the sweets platter? Our homemade Christmas sweets platter includes traditional fruit mince pies, chocolate-dipped strawberries (GF), pistachio & goji berry white chocolate rocky road (GF), chocolate brownie (GF), orange & almond shortbread and gingerbread men.
Do you deliver? Yes, delivery is $20 within Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, and Papamoa. Additional fees apply for surrounding regions. We recommend scheduling delivery 15 minutes prior to your planned eating time so our team can complete the set-up seamlessly.
Do you cater to special dietary requirements? Yes, we accommodate all dietary needs. Guests with strict requirements or severe allergies will receive an individual plated meal. Amy, the founder of Kex Catering has coeliac disease, so our team is exceptionally trained in food allergy safety and cross-contamination prevention. Our whole Christmas buffet can be catered gluten free.
Will dishes be labeled for guests? Yes, every dish includes a clear menu display card detailing the dish name and any dietary markers (such as Gluten Free, Dairy Free, or Vegan).
Does the food come on platters? Our Christmas buffet arrives hot, fully cooked, and ready to serve on our platters. Our delivery team will also assist in setting up your buffet spread before leaving.
Do you offer disposable packaging for off-site events? Yes. We offer sleek, high-quality catering takeaway boxes designed for seamless setup and effortless cleanup. This option is ideal for off-site events, outdoor venues, or casual office gatherings.
Do you supply plates, cutlery and serving utensils? Serving Utensils: We have a limited supply reserved primarily for large events. Please inquire early to check availability for your date. Plates & Cutlery: We offer porcelain dinner plates for hire at $1.50 each. Alternatively, we can provide eco-friendly disposable plates and cutlery sets for a small additional fee. You are also welcome to supply your own.
Can I adjust my guest count after booking? We require an estimated head count at the time of your initial inquiry. Final guest numbers can be adjusted up until one week before your event date.
How does payment work? Once you confirm your event details, we will send an official quote. Following your event, an invoice will be emailed to you with where you can pay via credit card or online bank transfer.
How do I place a booking? Please email us at orders@kexcatering.com with your event date, number of people, and menu choices. Please include delivery address, eating time and any dietary requirements in your group.
